Got pulled over this morning...Bollocks!

Hey Guys/Girls,

So I got pulled over this morning, first thing the cop asks me to pop the bonnet, i was thinking "shit my ITBS are naked", but he didn't mention anything about em, so all good.

Anyhow here's how a little bit of the convo went.

Cop: Your exhaust is too loud mate, I could hear you from way back around that bend.

Me: I was in 3rd gear doing 40ks in a school zone officer

Cop: Well...(pause) I could hear you when you went pass the lights, you were speeding too, but I won't get you for that.

Me: I was in 4th gear doing 60ks sir

Seriously 3rd/40ks and 4th/60ks, how loud could I have been? The cop had his windows up too -_-

Anyways the officer took some photos of my engine bay and exhaust and told me I'll be recieving a letter in which will be advising me to go to some place to get my car checked out.

can they do that! (take pictures that pass down judgment at a later date!?
i thought they had to issue you a defect on the stop?

Dunno man, he took quite a few shots though. He was even giving a hit on my acc pedal -_-

I think he wanted to defect me, but I showed him my 'Get Out Of Jail Free' card (Engineers Certificate), which may have stopped him

yeah the whole taking photos thing has happend to me a few times.

on the other hand cops dont notice wen i run ram tube and no pod ? they just say your lucky this time go home if we catch u out here again you wont get off so easily

I guess it could be like, if they are looking for weapons in your car and find nothing, yet you had a few large garbage backs and piano string in the seat next to you

Also, I don't see how its lucky he said nothing about the ITB's, yet he took photos and advised you will get something in the mail. I'm from WA, they hardly do such things. But from what I heard, if they don't get you at the time and they advised something will be sent in the mail, you usually get something in the mail and get reemed.

I guess enjoy it whilst it lasts, invest in an airbox later and a secured filter of sorts or watever needs to be done.

What I'll be getting in the mail is a choice of places to go to get my vehicle checked out, thats all he said. By then I'll have invested in some filters, hope that helps when the time comes.
