    Anyone running suzuki Sierra shocks?

Bought a pair of super short stroke shocks out of a suzuki Sierra today (Monroe Gas shocks).
I installed them this afternoon and took them for a test and i seem to be getting a huge clunking sound fron the left and right at the rear (Maybe shocks are topping out?)
Has anyone else had similar problems at all?
I'm currently running Ford Au falcon springs which have been chopped a fair bit. Maybe they need more chopping?

    Thanks,

    Alex

yeah sounds like the springs are too tall. your car really has to be dumped for sierras to work reasonably (dumped = 200mm free height falcons or less)

    +1 on them topping out....

I'm using the sierra's currently in my car...200mm free height 6kg + the shock mounts have been moved 10mm upwards.....

yep me too. i changed my springs over from au falcoon springs to keto stock front springs cut to 240 and it still make a clunking noise which is as you said topping out. grips up a lot better and doesnt bounce the wheels off the ground..

    Thanks for the feedback.
Is moving the shock mounts as easy as cutting and re-welding?
Think I'm going to have to put stock ones back in for the time being.
Can anyone post up some picks of their Sierras setup?

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Hey mate,

Both myself & a mate of mine were running low king springs in our rolla's with 2 coils chopped off them all round & he was running sierra shocks in the rear & it was pretty good for what he was wanting. I on the other hand decided to go with kyb shocks suited for a series 2 vs wagon if i recall correctly which are about half way between a sierra shock at full length and a stock ae71 shock at full length. It gave it a bit more height for if you haven't chopped your springs a heap. I found the overall ride pretty smooth as smooth can be for a corolla running chopped springs.
