theoretically if they are tuned right the first time it should last you quite some time
recently got a webber carb for my 4k. have not put it on yet.. was talkin to somone at work today about them and he recons they need tuning like all the time. and when they not in tune they run like shit.. its a single 40mm webber i will be running.. I'm guessing that if u run twins the tune would be more important because if one was differnt cylinders 1 & 2 would be different from cylinders 3 & 4.? so running a single one would be better yeh?? and are they relighable?
thanks guys.

We ran twin 40s on the rally car for years and hardly touched them. Set the jets up to start with then just checked float levels every year. They were no harder to balance than twin SUs, just use a plastic tube to listen to them, then forget them for 6months.
Awesome carbs, they shoot 4 jets of petrol clean across the garage when you open the throttles quickly!
He's probably referring to running multiple carbs, as they all need to be balanced, a single is fine.
Used to run triple SU carbs on my EH, they required tuning regularly to keep it optimal.
yeh i figured with only one there would be no balance needed.. as there is only one to tune.. should go alright... thanks guys.
