Being fined in another state
hey guys, i know the rules for getting a fine whilst driving a car used to be you only have to pay the fine and not lose ponts off your license. my mates seem the think that still is the case.
Has this happened to anyone lately that they might be able to shead some light onto the subject?

A taxi driver here in Vic told me that some guys go to Brisbane and get a new license if they lose it here in Vic to I guess the points are not transferred.
as long as they have proof of residence (phone bill sent to qld address) that would be possible. although i think there is a question that asks if you have a license in a different state or if your suspended from driving

a mate (nsw license) got done in SA about 8 months ago
points never transferred to his NSW license.
apparantly VIC will transferr points to a NSW license........ so he didnt speed in that state on the way home
