    Hey guys

I've being talking to the guys at my local exhaust shop. I want them to install a Lukey Ultra Flow 2.5 inch muffler.

One of the workers recons it would make my car louder. I currently have a 3inch straight through monza cannon surely a well build 2.5 Lukey would be quieter.

Also whats peoples opinion for muffler design which has good flow and sound control. eg: offset, interference semi straight through like the Lukey Ultra Flow which would have being my choice.,

Straight through would be better for flow and with resonator, it won't be all that loud. (sure I can pass epa with it easily)

I have a 2.5 with a trust style cat which would be similar to a lukey straight through design. Not loud at all, but it has a resonator thats quite large. I notice it will resonate around 3-4000 rpm range (but that could be my extractors).

the lukey 2.5 muffler will never be louder than a 3 inch straight through cheapo cannon. Monza is kindof crap so if you were actually to look what packing there was will probably be gone!
Next time someone tells you something so incredibly stupid kick them in the nuts
(though he could have meant louder than standard)
For example i just went from the standard 2inch exhaust with a cheapo cannon to a 2.25 inch exhaust with a 2.25 lukey muffler. Its pretty much less than half as loud easily. It also has heaps more back pressure so it drives better (ie i can accelerate uphill at around 2krpm now instead of at least 3Krpm as it was before) This is a 4ac by the way

i have 2 lukey mufflers on my turbo 4a street86, the rectangular ones, 2.5in quiet enough to keep the cops off my back but sounds real good on hard boost would be louder on an na 4a but would still be a good note.

if you want a good deal go see marky mark form exhaust technology he will be able to tell you the noise outcome and what is good for power. he has done a fair few 4a exhausts.

I've talked to the owner of my local exhaust shop and have decided in a 2.5, 350mm long, extra large circumference, ( so it has lots of glass packing in there) with offset in, center out pipes. Hopefully this will do the trick. At least it will look less sus then the cannon. If not may be one of those vacuum controlled exhaust valves will be the go. There at least 5 hundred bucks though.

Cat doesn't have much effect on noise, couple of hot dogs would work much better. I think commos run a 2.5 hot dog and they are well cheap. Search ebay.
