Factory 4age oil pressure sender outlet on block

Hi,

Is the oil that the factory oil pressure sender taps into on the intake or discharge side of the oil filter?

i.e. Is it filtered oil or un filtered oil at that point?

Looking at the diagram below I am not 100% sure, so I thought I would ask.

Just doing the oil feed line for my 16v turbo conversion, and deciding whether to run it from my (JJR) sandwhich plate, or from where the factory oil pressure sender screws into, as Leg's old engine seemed to use.

it is filtered oil.

oil gets picked up then thru the oil pump into the filter (outside in, more surface area) then thru the mains.

if you had run a sandwich plate you would be running unfiltered oil thru the turby. There are inline filters you can buy for them to work that way tho.
