my bigport does this occasionaly, i just hit the loud pedal and it goes back to normal.. maybe t/b might need a clean/lube.
as for coldstart, when its idling high disconect the plug and see if it changes. as in the black plug in the plenum.
hey guys i drove to school today and i realised the idle is really high =\ and i think that the cold starter is always on ? even though cars at mid temp, this hasnt happened before anyone know how to diagnose this ?

Mine does this as well. On mine the spring on the throttle body isn't as good as it use to be and doesn't pull it all the way back when you release the throttle, causing it to idle around 2000rpm. A tap of the pedal brings usually fixes it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (hilux05 @ Sep 15 2008, 03:37 PM) </div>lol was getting scared that i was going to end up with another rooted 4ag, pulled the coldstarter off and started the car works fine, put it back on and its running at 1000rpm again many thankyousss! not a cent needed to fix.
Happens that i was wrong, was driving today and it was doing it again, took the cold start injector off and it was still hunting, revving up from 1000rpm to 2000 continuously, if i rev to about 5000 it will stop but when i throttle again it will start hunting all over again, anyone overcome this problem before?
clean throttle body, clean sensors, readjust TPS
before i stuffed the smallport in my current ae92 it hunted as bad as my last ae86 with a gze.
u think it could create a vac leak on its own ? been driving it for a few months now n its been fine up until monday
