    hello,

Looking at puting some 4"s and Tweaters in my front doors of my k-sev.
Im sure someone has done it before?
Any pics would be greatly appreciated. Just not sure where i can and can not drill holes because it might interfere with the window winder or window.

    Thanks,

    Alex

why not put them in the kick panels down the front? the original one in the kick panels are 3" from memory so you can dodgey up a 4" into it easy as. me and SON57A on here just drellemed out the metal abit and even mounted it on the original holes that they original speakers mounted to and then everything looked neat and original.

Ive already put some aftermarket 4"s in the kick panel at the front (under the dash). I think the sound gets a bit muffled down there + i got given a pair of brand new 4"s today so i thought id incorporate them somehow, which brought me to the "puting them in the door question".

First thing you'll need to do is remove the trim and have a look underneath. There's a large access hole beneath the door handle and your speaker will need to sit over that. You'll probably need to remove the map pockets (if you've got them). Depending on the size of the magnet you may need to space the speaker out from the door to avoid it hitting the window when its rolled down.

Simplest way is an mdf speaker ring, or a cut your own sheet of mdf and make it large enough to cover the area where the map pocket was. Round the edges and cover it in vinyl to make it look neat. Or you could buy some pre-made speaker pods, or if feeling more adventurous, have a crack at making your own.

they should have come with a template, pull your door card off and find a spot that isnt gonna interfere with the window or any other mechanical shit, and then get cutting...should be pretty simple
