difference between T & S series diffs

hey guys im new on the 86 scene after i got landed with my mates run down old sprinter, pretty much he needed somewhere to park it after buying a AE93 SX corolla as his daily car so i now also drive it as it lives at my place, but after we realised how good of a burnout it peels the already neglected diff didnt hang around for long so now i need some info on what im looking at, our sprinter is the full aussie spec one with the 4AC and nothing special, so after reading a few things ive come to the educated guess that it has a S series diff, what is the difference?
