been putting up with this for quite some time now and was jsut wondering what the matter is
whenever i got around a bumpy corner the sterring wheels pulls back and forth
ive read all about suspension and what not but its quite confsiong with scrub radies etc
apparently he wider the wheel and the lower the car the worse it is - and my cars is very low and has 8inch wide superlights on it
is there anyone who has the same problem and what they did to fix it?
what exactly do you mean by back and forth?
Could be scrub, caster, bump steer etc. It's hard to diagnose without actually looking at the suspension.
Can you give us a rundown of the mods to the front end?
not exactly sure how to explain it... but when i go around sweeping corners (60kmph +) and theres dips in the road the sterring wheel actually pulls quite hard to a side.. its weird...
when i put my mates t18 front shocks in the car so the front heigh of the car was that of a average car the problem went away..
i think its a case of the car being real low combined with 8inch wide low offest wheels...
the car has front end coilovers is jsut above legal ride heigh limit (so near 10cm off the groud) and i have 8 inch wide superlights on it,....
im going to put some normal rims on the front and see if it takes the problem away.. which i am pretty certain it will
also worth mentioning the front doesnt have any camber and it tracks straigh as a die
its not a major problem - jsut one of those annoying lil things
Its probably a few things. Height. If you have no RCA's your control arms are at a wack angle causing this shifting. I bad wheel alignment. The wheels could also have some part in this due to the height of the car.
Just take your car to get a wheel alignment first. They will tell you if there is anything that needs replacing. Also if you have a hectic toe out setup, this can also be part to blame.
