4a - w58 clutch 200mm flywheel

hi guys .

it time for a new clutch ... so i really dont know what will be the best combo for my setup .

my setup is currently

4agze + turbo + w58 gear box = 160rwkw

stupid me impulse ebayed a bought a toda 200mm 3kg flywheel off ebay , thinking i would end up witha n/a instead of a turbo set up ...

so i really want to really use and try this flywheel out. but the exedy clutch guy said that i would kill it .. if i was planing on drifiting due to the heat that will be produce ... is this true ?


what combo are you guys running ... and since im getting a new one i want somthing that i can drive daily and be able to handle track use.

i dont mind a heavy clutch but nothing stupid .. is this possible?

do u have details about the metalurgy (spelling) of the toda flywheel ??

things such as the grade of metal and how its made can affect the durabilty of it etc.

its a chromoly steel flywheel 3kg .. thats all i really know .

im pretty sure people use the 212mm or there abouts one due to more contact area for the clutch. 3kg will be a bit homo anyway

Try it and see. You'll probably find the clutch could last a while. If you're worried, get as heavy a pressure plate as you can and a button clutch plate. I seem to remember an off the shelf Hiace clutch suits 200mm to W58, but any clutch shop can sort that out.

But you could well find that such a light flywheel is a downfall for drift. Clutch kicks basically wont work.
