as topic states i have a question on my fuel tank i know its a jdm tank but i think my fuel pump it getting old because up high in the rev range im blowing white smoke.

my question is what fuel pump can i replace it with i was told by some1 that a wolbro pump will go straight in but id like to check my options.

also i have no injector resistor anywhere on my loom what does this mean i dont think this would be good as all my friends with 4ages have them.

any help on these matters would be very much appreciated cheers in advance mat
    the dyno pull to 300rwkw

BT20v is making 300rwkw like i said i would without nitrous so now its time for some spray and see if she will run a 10s or less

im pretty sure ma61 intank pump is a replacement.

if running external pump just use a VL turbRo pump.

i beleive blue smoke indicates oil, black smoke means its running rich, i beleive the fuel pump is rooted, i e leaning out, should do a fuel pressure test before u pull it out and replace it, may possibly be a faulty fuel reg aswell

White smoke is likely coolant. Maybe blown head gasket or cracked head? If there is a water jacket breach the it would be using water. Is it?

There are plenty of different 4AGE's be more specific on which one and somebody might be able to answer the injector resistor question, some use it, some don't.

There are atleast 6 different types of 4AGE

    Bigport 16v 1st gen
    Bigport 16v 2nd gen
    Smallport 16v
    Silver top 20v 1st gen
    Silver top 20v 2nd gen
    Black top 20v

Then to go with that there are different engine management types, AFM/MAP etc

    Pick one

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (pen15 @ Oct 3 2008, 07:42 PM) </div>Cracked head won't necessarily show up on compression test or contaminate oil but still allows coolant to enter the combustion chamber.

Is it using coolant or not?
What are the values of the comp test?

PS. Is your engine is in the same state of tune as a 700rwkw jobbie?
