Theres heaps of ways to do it, this one seems a proven one.

I would use a VL Lifter pump and fit it as per this guide(helped me heaps)

Then fit a VL Pressure pump, with new bigger fuel line. 8mm, minimum. metal preffered, but i have heard of people running a rubber style line from the pump to motor.

Use your stock 4AC fuel feed line as you 4age return line. and thats it!!

    hope this helps!!!

an alternative for the lift pump instead of a VL one is one of the cheap "rattler" ones from repco. i think the part no. is something like sl120 or something. they are a small box thing u can mount in the boot. the VL pressure pump is definitely the way to go.

the VL pump everyone refers to is the same as a bosch 070

here is the list of them from bosch

pretty much any of them will do for a a 4age as they don't require that much fuel

you can see the 413 is the big mumma of all pumps with 200L/hour @ 5 bar

    and the 070 being a reasonable pump with 130L/hour @ 3 bar

as for the lift pump, any "Carby" lift pump that is designed for high flow-low pressure will be good enough, just make sure that your lift pump is able to flow more than your high pressure pump. so if you were to use the bosch 070 your lift pump needs to flow more than 130L/hour. otherwise your surge tank will empty....

in the case of the VL setup, they have a small lift pump inside the tank that feeds the main pump (070), so you could just get one of them. (as stated by sprinter86 up there^^)

i know everyone uses them including myself, but it really is complete overkill. I would go soemthing slightly smaller if I were to do it again, so then there is so much returning from the rail
