CAR - KE70
MOTOR - 4AGE, big port head with a small port bottom end.
USE - soon to be fun daily
hey guys am slowly getting through my 4age conversion but there a few things i need your help with.
Firstly what is the pipe in the picture and where is it supposed to go to, should i leave it like that? also what type of sensor is that, the one with the red rubber thing on it?
secondly, where do these two pipes go?
and one of them seems to have been put in by the previous owner, and not cleaned up very well.
this leads me to my next question, i found tiny little shards of metal in my sump, first thing i thought of was my bearings had gone, but could these be the shavings from the the holes that had been drilled? and is there an easy way of checking my bearings while the sump is off?
thirdly, what connects up to that plug and what does it measure? see the little black thing with three tubes coming out of it, where do those tubes go? and what do they do? another thing, what is supposed to go into that hole in the inlet manifold? i'm pretty sure it is a inlet temp sensor but i could be wrong.
also, all these vacuum pipes what do they do and where to they go?
one of them seems to be un plugged, should i block it off?
another thing, what do these plugs connect up to?
6: what is this pipe and where is it supposed to go?
7: whilst cleaning my harmonic balancer i noticed that a small amount of it had broken off, does this matter?
8: what connects up to all these points on the alternator?
9: when i was trying to tighten up one of the engine mounts i got a bit too into it and this happened
do you guys know how i would get this nut out of this socket piece?
10: and lastly, when i was mounting my gearbox onto my engine, all this oil came out of the end of it, where the prop shaft goes. do you guys know what type of oil this is and how to i put more in?
sorry for the mad long post.
cheers guys.
