The Aus spec version should be a real drivers car. Non turbo flat four tuned for aussie fuel- sounds fantastic. And now so middleaged hairdressers can relive their glory days there gonna call it celica.

But toyota are nice enough to have subaru engine mounts in there, so you can pull out the mighty NA lump and stick in a 10 year old front cut engine. Great idea when buying a new car-reckon they'll still honour their warranty?

I have less of a problem with it being badged as a celica than 'FT86" '86' or 'GT86'... It looks more like a celica/supra than anything else corolla,and as mentioned above, to most people, '86' means nothing but a number inbetween 85 and 87.
