Default please identify my zenki t series lsd

    hey all
im wondering if anyone can identify this lsd that came out of my te71 levin with a zenki t series disk diff.
im leaning towards it being the oem lsd as it doesnt lock hard and has the old skool toyota symbol next to the OG but yeah just want confirmation. ive never seen a standard unit

also sorry if this sounds a bit stupid but the gears running it are 8t pinion and 39t crown. that means 4.87:1 ratio yeah?

    cheers for any help

Looks like a TRD one from what I remember, OEM ones have like a rounded corner inspection window.

Also, I believe the crown wheel should have the ratio stamped on it somewhere on the side.

My bad, I think I got that around the wrong way. The rounded window is the TRD and the one installed is the OEM unit.

Edit. Yeah if the axles are real loose, it could be a kouki model. I got hit by the exact same thing a while back also.

    Correct.
First picture is an oem (rubbish) lsd, the trd 2way is the one you want.
Make sure its not a kouki though if your diff is in fact a zenki

yeah it is a kouki as ive had a bit of a look through the forums and the axle sizes are only slightly off which is why the axle is "loose" in the trd unit. just wanted to make sure it was also infact a trd unit

dont spose anyone wants to buy a kouki trd lsd?? lol

    cheers for your help guys

its OEM. there are kits to overhaul/iprove them but its not really worth it these days. 2nd hand aftermarket LSDs are pretty cheap now.
