Lack of crank <- problem

Hey guys, I have been looking around everywhere for about 2 weeks now, and I can't find a god damn 42mm crank anywhere..

Is this just a lack of people looking in the parts wanted thread? Or that they are sought after alot? I thought alot of people would have plenty of spare small ports etc.. laying around.. and engines with fried heads etc..

Would it be worth me ringing around newcastle wreckers or sydney wreckers (I live 4 hrs north of syd) looking for a smallport corolla i could buy the crank out of? or will a wrecker charge me a stupid price?

well Deeken I had a look and the spare crank I have is scrap metal, it looked good but what the vernier said was scary. Not enough left to grind down so your stuck again.

otherwise have you tried an add on toymods?
