Default my wheel bearings hate me!

more dramas with the sev.... driving me insane!!

i got ae86 struts xt130 lca ect and my left front wheel bearings keep blowing... i replaced them sooo many times but they just keep blowing.. followed a owners manual with a toqrue wrench but no luck, filling hub right up with grease but no luck my stub isnt bad small evidence of scuff/wear on the outer side but no play so could it be the hub?? the cones are easy to insert and remove

or should i look into gettin new stub and hub!

people say rims and camber are a factor.. i dont think but i have 14x7.5 -7? and T3 canber plates but only on half way to max camber... ALSO my tyre wears soo much faster on the outer side.. it should be the opposite with the camber set up i got

    get back to me guys

your using a torque wrench on wheel bearings?

they are meant to be just nipped up with your fingers alone. Just curious what spec do they say?

Go get a proper wheel allignment.. if you're running camber you shouldn't be wearing the outside of the tyre.

Negative offset will of course kill wheel bearings quicker. I've gone through a couple on my ke70 (14x8 -15 xt130's etc)

Why ra40 struts ftw if it's just a toe out issue? wheel allignment and it's fixed..

bigger stub axles, bigger bearings, takes more load = run more negative offset?

there is a torque specified in the ae86 chassis manual of 21Ft/lb.

to the OP are you packing them with grease properly? not just smearing the grease over it.

    like shown here,

you shoudltn have the dramas you are having, even with a bit of negative camber.

most full on race cars as in ae86 group A has a spacer made up to go over the stub axle to give it strength and some others went for the RA 40 strut as it had a stronger stub axle no flex like the ae86
