Default Whats needed for T series diff into ADM AE86

    Hi Guys,
I will be picking up my JDM AE86 T series diff soon and Im trying to find out what modification is required to make it fit in my ADM sprinter.

    1) I understand that you need to replace the rear tailshaft with a 20mm shorther tail shaft from either a JDM AE86 or T18. Is there any other cars that run this 20mm shorther tail shaft?

    2) Can you use the standard handbrake cable from a s series diff?

3)My new diff will have disc brakes (old diff has drums) will I need to upgrade the master dylinder or brake booster?

These are just some things I thought of, please let me know any other moddifications required.

    Kind regards

    Hi

When running disc brake you need to use the JDM disc brake handbrake cables , not the s series drums ( I have in stock)

You need to change the brake bias to the rear disc via either fitting the JDM valve and T - Piece in place of the 1 piece adm valve assy or some people gut 1 part of the adm valve so as to get less brake pressure to the rear discs , BUT NOT Recommended.

Master cyclinder and brake booster is the same.

Yes you need either a T18 rear section of the tailshaft or a whole AE86 JDM tail shaft assy. ( Have in stock)

Oh, I thought the problem with the adm brake bias valve was that it wasn't letting enough pressure to the rears, so its actually letting to much, is that right?
also anyone used a willwood bias adjuster to get around this problem? any info on the product?

so just clearing up if your going to put a t series drum setup in to a 86 currently fitted with a s series do you have to change handbrake cables too? or are they both the same
