    Default wolf 2d + 4age?

    Hi,
I know its a stupid question, but i have a 4age in a ke10 corolla that im planning on turboing.
i need an aftermarket ecu to run it all, but im curious if an old 2d could run the 4age? im sure it would work for fuel seeing its fuel only but what options are there for ignition? i have a 2d sitting in my shed thats why im curious if i could use it..

it may be a cheaper option than buying another ecu..

once again, i know theyre not the best.. but they ran cars back in the day so i cant see why they cant run cars decent now..
    cheers

Yes, it could run it, but it would be more trouble than it's worth.

Look at the ignition options for 4AGEs running carbs (you'd be in the same boat for ignition) and you'll soon see that they are either: expensive and good, cheap and nasty, or the result of years of backyard tinkering. Even if you did it "properly" you'd end up with a fuel computer and a seperate ignition computer. Not a good plan.

If you do it, do it properly and get a computer that does fuel and ignition, wasn't produced in the dark ages (requiring serial ports and a DOS laptop to adjust), is still supported, has good software and that people can tune.
