If These are like other Poncams they will deliver the goods, Tomei actually do put some effort into their cams.

Yeah Sam, whagt are these 270 vvt proven cams? The only 'local' ones I've used(and others I know have used) were crap and when cam manufacturer was asked questions basically hung p and didn't want to talk anymore....maybe cos their cams didn't deliver!

From Clive cams, 270/270 with a sivertop VVT pulley. Gains in the mid and over 6000 in the top end. I think they had 9.4mm of lift.

They cost around $700 a pair I think? I have been annoying one of my friends for his dyno chart, I should do it again. He later went on to run a turbo and make a stack of power with them. I will go and bug him again.

the good thing about pon cams, especially for 20v. is that they have been made so no timing alterations are needed, theyve been tested, found the best cam timing, and built the cams to be timed like that without needing cam gears.

i like the idea of supporting local brands, but as you can see the tomei cams arent really any more expensive and im sure A LOT more r&d has gone into them.

Looks like a tempting product, however, they appear to have a single 5 valve 4age application, but we know that black and silver 5 valve 4ag have a 5 degree difference in inlet cam timing, so I wonder which these are designed to suit, or if they have an offset dowel pin like toda or what exactly they do.

The intake is setup to a 120deg peak lift point, so I'd say set up for blacktop.

    From the tomei site:

"2011 is the year that TOMEI will focus on the AE86 and 4AG engine!"

Only took 28 years to get on the bandwagon eh.

Better late than never, that they are still prepared to spend R&D dollars shows the cult status of the car and popularity of the engine. Well done I say.
