the way to do it properly is to build a kit.

if your car is na, you dont really need to relocate the filter, its fine where it is, just put a sandwich plate in.

you want -10 (dash ten) braided lines with "an" fittings. commonly referred to as "speedflow" though that is a brand, and there are others that are good.

for a core. you want setrab, mocal, or serek. all of these you can get from ebay. most of the ebay no name stuff is ok too.

the sandwich plate should be too hard. i think its 3/4" -16. but either way, its the same as a lot of fords.

done like that, youre looking at $400-$500. new a hks kit will be more, and no better.

yeah, but adding a remote filter adds 4 more fittings. the fittings are $20+ each so

plus its simpler and neater without. just be more careful

i take 5 hours to change the oil i was also thinking be easier to change the oil!
if any one seen on the old forum i had to basically hack saw off the old filter!

but the jumper idea and gloves ill give it a go next time!

as for that link ke70 that is an absolute god sent!
    cheers

im well aware this isnt a technical section but for the sake of not creating another thread
    just the basics,
why is it better to keep the oil cooler?

or is this just extra mucking around for no real gains in say engine life?

its just a bigport that will be running 20v quads and an ecu with mild cams
    just a daily

Greddy also made a kit, rather expensive though.

you take 5hrs to change the oil?

i have a FACTORY small port oil cooler, for a fairly stock motor there is no need to upgrade any further. it has FWD lines though so they would need to be extended, but they are hard lines which are better then braided lines i dont care how much they cost!.

I've had a hunt around for those few brands Slydar suggested, but I'm cheap, and they're not. Are there any other suitable options? Ive been told the generic ones on nissansilvia n that do more bad than good and are very restrictive?
