    Have been having some temp issues, so raided the parts bin from my corolla.

    Mocal thermatic sandwich plate and cooler, fitted it on top of the factory water to oil plate and used a corolla filter to clear the chassis rail.

    Just have the cooler tucked down behind the passenger headlight for now, will find a better position in some air flow a bit later.

    Now off to a Sunday dyno and Bathurst day, thinking might make anything between 170-190 rwkw, see how the old shit barge goes!

    Dirty shit barge made 207 kw, pretty much on all three pulls and pinged its face off between 3-4 grand

    afr's were 13:1 so it the vvti's high comp low overlap at that rpm that requires some timing pulled out of it I figure

    Gotta love the AFM 1j, seeing 17.5 pound town gradually dropping to 15, no fuel cut in sight

    Torque is 750nm pretty much flat from 2500rpm across the board, fuck me no wonder this thing is a ball to drive!

    207rwkw is pretty darn good for a "Dirty shit barge".

    Couple of updates

    Car pinged pretty hard on the dyno, which is partly it needs some ignition pulled out of it...

    But over the following days the 044 got louder and louder, and the car wanted to ping like a popcorn machine when on load, so I thinks the lift pump is dying....

    It didn't even have any power to it! for gawd noes how long so the 044 was trying to suck through two filters and a stationary intank pump lol

    Couldn't find the relay or fuse for it which must be stuffed up under the dash somewhere?? so just pulled shared power from the 044 for now until I wire a separate relay and supply for the lift.

    Plan is to do a bit of a wiring tidy up when the power fc and kinugawa get fitted.

    Also changed the plugs back to the recommended platinum/iridium twin electrode plugs and the car runs much better.

    The copper type v-grooves that were in there indicated the car was running quite lean whilst the lift pump was off line, very clean and bright white!




    Took it out to a recent prac day and had a ball trying out some 215/45 r17's on the back.

    Soo much more lateral grip and stability and lots more drive!

    Expensive Japanese gameboy turned up today.

    Looking forward to getting it on with the Kando and its larger comp housing and wheel.

    Standard injectors for now and still factory dump pipe but I will port and smooth up the internal gate in the factory exhaust housing a bit before I swap it onto the back of the kando.

    Should be nice and responsive still and just make a bit more in the top end...and no moar pinging!

    2jzge was tops, had to be up it for the rent to keep it in its happy place tho, but it's doable and was a great engine to start off with and get a feel for things.


    Banged some 17's on the bum last prac day and dug the extra grip and drive all round!

    17 x 9's +20 BBS knock offs, 215/40's

    will still run the 15 x 8 -7 challengers on the front when drifting tho to keep my track and lock

    also a bit heavy with 215's and no power steer!

    Pulled the ct15b out this arvo, separated the exhaust housing and gave the ceramic turbine wheel a spin....

    and I shit you not the thing just fell off into my hand!

    Not a moment too soon for the kando it seems lol



    The old and the new, can really see how much bigger the comp wheel is on the kando
