i went!!!
i am a marshall for the chicanes
today i was on the 4th chicane along the down hill section. got some pretty crazy action down there, as they all went a bit sideways through the chicane.
some epicly awesome cars, so many great toranas and escorts. the bikes and the "speed cars" were pretty boring, cool to see though. few evo 10's, but the old cars are the best, mg's, sprites, clubmans, even a sierra s2000, heaps of old jag's and some real nice old holdens. there was this weird toyota thing as well, almost certain its an import, will post a pic.
they were running really behind schedule today and only got 1 timed run in, supposed to have 2.5. so hopefully tomorrow is a bit better.
im hoping to get onto chicane 2 or 3 tomorrow, see some more action!
i took a bazillion pictures that turned out ok today, so ill post them up some time...
I just spoke to dad who went today. He said it was worth it.
