After a weekend of mucking around what uve done is...

Hot water out from exhuast - core - tap - back of water pump
Bypass at back of head to back of water pump

Both are connectedvto a t piece before it meets the back of water pump. at idle temps are stable at 88-90 degress

Can someone confirm that the aeup is correct and works and that temp are ok before i take the car to get it tuned

that doesn't make sense. Your going straight from the bypass plate to the back of the pump?

that will cause a radiator bypass. You need to follow the diagram in the guide I posted

bypass - heater tap - heater core - back of pump

still no good Sam. i think your water routing doesnt work with my setup because it might be because of my custom bypass block, i dont know how they did it but it must be different to yours. So i just got off the phone with matt(penis) and he suggested that my route and water temp is correct. he said my temps are the same as his and also confirmed the abnormal water temp is due to an under driven water pump pulley. due to its larger size it causes the water to flow slower at idle than normal but at optimium temp flow heaps better. so i think my problem is solved for now.

thanks for those who helped out esp. samQ

well if he says so, I can't comment fully without looking at your engine. It would definately not be due to your water pump pulley though as I am using an oversize one as well without any issues.
