JZX90 1J into MX83....

I know this is not really the site for this thing but i cant find anything useful on toymods or jzxproject....

Engine mounts.....do i need jzx80's or does this swapping around my origional mx83 mounts actually work....

if anyone knows specifics please pm or reply..

From memory the jzx90 mounts will work fine and the sump is perfect because its a front sump. I'm fairly sure that the jzx81 and jzx90 is extremely similar

you need jzx81 engine mounts and crossmember......or jzx81 engine mounts and series 2 mx83 crossmember......only way to make it spot on.....factory fit

Jzx90 is the same as jzx81 except there reversed i.e inlet is on the exhaust side and vice versa

they 'work' but are not the same.

Jzx81 make the motor sit PERFECT.

jzx81 and jzx90 are a a lot different ouside of the motor, box and diff (centre). Chassis/suspension is completely different.

And if you couldnt find any info on toymods then you fail at internet

jzx81 engine mounts can still be bought new from toyota(cheap too) if you ask the right people, FYI.

toymods kept giving me wiring info.....
and everyone is so vauge on the subject...i wanted a definate yes or no before i spend money....
does anyone know where to purchase a jzx81 crossmember and the engine mounts.....
toyota wasn't very helpful over the phone...some chick who was so lost i thought i called a kindergarden

I'm doing it now/done it.

Jzx90 mounts will work.
Flip them around.
K frame. Use a mx83 series 2. Same as jzx81.
gearbox. Flip the x member around.

Anything else?
