you would have to take out the axles and count the spins/teeth and then find a LSD to suit..
to weld the Open diff, you would have to take it all apart anyways so might as well do it now and find out what axles you have and go from there
Hey guys, my first post/thread. Been watching these forums for prolly 6 months. Bought my 86 sr5 with a 3tc about 3 months ago. Was told it had an lsd. At the time I didnt know or think to check it. So tonight while waiting for the welder to come over and cut my u joint off my steering column, I found out I didnt have LSD, but I do have the rear disk. I know the options are endless, but I didnt know if by looking you guys could tell me what axle I got, so I could either order an LSD that will fit, or tell the welding guy how to weld the diff. Also so I know what brakes to order.
Thanks

If you have an axle in your rear I'd get it out first before doing anything else... that must be painful.
It looks like a T series, but as Rice says you need to pull an axle out to double check if it really is a T series, and whether it is a small or large axle T series.

Those brake callipers look very much like a disc to disc T series. Rotor is about the right size too, but do as other have said to confirm.
Alright, I'll pull it and see what happens. Thanks guys
