    Default trailing arms not lining up on one mount

    today i rebushed the lower trailing arms in my 86 fitted with t series diff,im trying to install them now and can only get the bolt on the body mount, the mount on diff only half the hole lines up,ive tryed prying it,jacking on a slight angle,and cant get the few extra mm needed,what dose everyone else do?any advice would be great,its really starting to shit me

    I have done screwdriver/bar from one end to make it line up, then put the bolt halfway in from the other.

    Once the bolt is in, its usually easier to screw it in, or hit the mount and push the bolt

    thanks mate that pretty much did it,skinned the shit outa my nuckles on last one,i think the urathane bushes made it a slut haha

    Yeah, I just use a phillips head and pry it across and tap the bolt through with a soft mallet.

    it is the worst thing ever removing trailing arms for the first time after 30 years. after that it is easy every time
    stroked 2L ca18-ae86 in the build...eta xmas 2012?

    I use a set of Super Crap allen keys (half are bent now)... I start off with the smaller ones and pry it across and work my way up to the larger ones. The biggest is 10mm i think which is the same size as the bigger of the bolts.

    Much easier when done on a hoist too with a gearbox stand to use as well, haha.
