my Levin

Hey all, names Doug, i have an ae85 Levin. Got it about 4 years ago from an old samoan guy that had owned it for about 13 years. he didnt take care of it all. I saw it on his front lawn and approached him a few times and everytime he said no to selling it. Eventually i left my name and number and he rang me a week later and said yeah why not...$500

took it home and found some serious issues. He got in a mean side on accident and didnt have insurance or cash so he fixed it up with a hammer and bog and a red spray can.

heaps of rust too.





so i took it to a panelbeater that cut out the damaged 1/4 and threw away the rusted front guards and then tried charging me twice the agreed price. obviuosly i left with the car (or what was left of it) and took it home to sit in the garage for a while. got a worked smallport 4age for it and then got the rest of the body sorted...






so now as it sits its got full custom paint job, N2 front lip fitted, ae86 sideskirts trd ducktail wing, deep dish mesh rims, custom black interior including re-upholstered seats, etc etc.

Looks cool as! I like the n2 lip over the standard TRD style one. Looks real mean in that dark color. Is it black?? motor looks good.
More nz cars on here which is good!!

Cheers guys!! Yeah I got the N2 lip real cheap so thought why not? No one else does it. The colour is called graphite black metallic,in direct light it goes brown and green,put up a pic soon of it. Yeah the motor goes alright aye, got me sideways round taupo track easily enough. It's fun for a daily that's for sure

Nice job in the end mate (cuz), that first few pics had me worried, but it turned out well. What made you post after 4 yrs, just finished it, or plans to do more?

Cheers mate, yeah doing more work soon. And just not long ago got kit fitted so thought hey why not.
