Care to break the $6k total down? Seems like a lot to me when I just see a figure.

I would suggest a smallport on a limited budget. I'm running one fairly stock; fully rebuilt, shaved head with TRD 0.8mm HG, 4-1 headers with a 2.25" exhaust, bigport cams with really good results. Ran a 15.6 last week at the drags which I though was quite reasonable all things considered, especially with my lack of drag racing skills.

If I had the money I would go with a 20vBT. Great power in stock form and surely more with standalone management.

Wow, 6-7 grand really. I'd never pay that much for this little performance if mine wasn't already done. What does a Beams engine cost do do then?
I don't know if it's just my engine or tune but my ST20v feels like a nugget.

hmm I'll add my piece here, my silvertop (done by myself and a mate or two) conversion cost was approx ---->

    - Engine $1000
    - Adaptronic ECU $890 + flying loom $100
    - RWD cooling parts $200-ish
    - Clutch and lightweight flywheel $ 500
    - Loom (full custom and minimal wiring in the bay) $450
    - Yaris Coilpacks $150
    - Consumables $150

Total $3500 give or take a little

All these parts were bought new, costs go up if you wanna pull the motor apart and rebuild it etc, I'm yet to get the motor dyno tuned so that cost isn't factored in but I think everyone Else's projected cost's are exaggerated

That covers the basic conversion, but I went and spent extra coin on alloy rad, oil cooler set-up and what ever else

because you need to have an air box with both engines and when you have 4 throttles is a bit of a pain to do so.

Matt or Sam what's the dizzy kit to put at the front of the head? My 20v has the dizzy coming off the timing belt cam gear already.

post a picture of what you have. There's a few different versions available, some move the whole dizzy and plug the back and some like what I am developing just more the cap and rotor. The later opens the possibility of using the original leads and it also means that all the ignition wiring is identical.

you have done well Niz, and the bang for buck on your conversion would be really good.
