Rear brake upgrade that's easy and cheap.
You can get an adapter plate to move the caliper out and run s13 rotors
And rebuild the calipers

So in a month or few weeks i can afford new brakes for my AE86 and thinking of willwood front brake upgrade, only issue is they dont have rear brakes setup in the package
At the moment i have
JDM standard brakes front
JDM disc rear end, which really really needs attention, disc are beyond their minimum dimension and pads as well..
so a few questions
If i happen to go Willwood, will brand new standard items for the rear end be enough to keep the front/rear braking proportion same as standard? will it still be balanced in braking?
what rear end pads would match the willwood front brake pads?
i really need to sort out my rear brakes first as it on its last legs, i just want to make sure standard rear end with upgraded pads will do fine with willwood/bigger front brakes
any other option for rear end brake upgrade that ISN'T too much trouble?

Who are these people i need to get in touch with for these "adopter plate"?
upon my awesome google skillz...MA45 celica rear brakes are a straight bolt onto JDM rear end diffs
MA45 has bigger disc rotors though im still trying to sus out brake piston dimension from MA45 compared to JDM AE86 pistons
others in Canada have already performed this upgrade and its a straight bolt on so that's where i got my source from
something interesting also i found below
1.ADM AE86 S series
2.JDM AE86 rear end below
3.MA45 Celica/Supra

AJPS recently started selling them I believe...
I'd be interested to hear just how much it improves the handbrake!
Wilwoods feel cheap and light, but they seam to work ok and are a bang for buck solution. Not the best, but not the worst either.
yep I have them in stock now, ready to go
can send pics/prices on request

ST141 disk conversion with the in-built drum hand brake would be top of my list I think.
Google it for the Toymod's installation guide.

Are the rotors the same? Or do you have do use st141. If so how'd you go about getting slotted/drilled rotors for them?
MOPAR or no car!
As above, the corona upgrade seems decent. Plus they sometimes have a few coronas around the wreckers and will sell them cheapish if they dont know anything. Toymods have a writeup for that conversion too.
But can I ask why you need a brake upgrade?
New discs all round, maybe some vented and slotted DBA style ones front and rear. Then some good pads, redstuff, greenstuff etc.
I reckon your brakes will out perform your tire setup quite easily then, no point having mad brakes in a car that will just lock the wheels anyway.
*** just realised you have rear discs anyway. Just buy new discs and pads IMO
