This has been my reliable and comfortable daily driver for the past couple of years. Unfortunately the motor recently has blown a head gasket, and the car is now surplus to my needs, so I can’t be bothered fixing it.
The Cressida Grande was and still is one of Toyota’s most luxury automobiles. This would be a good project for someone to install a twin turbo or V8 motor. Or spend a few hundred dollars to replace the head gasket and keep on driving.
The Good:
Car features a plush grey leather interior which is close to immaculate condition. Still soft and no major wear or tears.
It has electric everything, and it all still works! From the power mirrors all the way through to the electric drivers seat.
The air con was re-gassed a couple of years ago and is in tip top working order. Seriously the best air con system I have had in any car I have owned.
The car is currently dropped as low as it can go on ‘modified’ King Springs (also standard height springs included with sale) and sits nicely on a set of 18inch chrome wheels with low profile tyres.
Auto gearbox has been reconditioned at some stage and shifts as smooth as it came from the factory.
Factory LSD
Car is still registered until May 2012
The Bad:
As mentioned, the motor has a suspected blown head gasket. It runs rough, and will overheat. It can be driven a short distance, or onto a car trailer.
Also the paint work is not in the best of condition and clear coat has peeled away from the bonnet, roof and boot. Car still presents neatly enough and has never been in trouble or pulled over by the Police.
ASKING $1200ono as is
Can negotiate cheaper price without the 18” wheels and with standard wheels on (see last picture).
standard wheels
