Well, thats all good, but lets not make assumptions. Not everyone, that doesn't follow the "right" way to do things as told by the powers that be, are going to, or have taken short cuts. I know that I, and most of the people I have worked with, will not send a car out that is likely to harm someone.

But as I have said, I am well aware of what can happen, and I have, and always will make sure that any car that I send out on the road or track, is as safe as I can make it, and if I am worried, I will go ask a group of people, that I know, know more than I, what is the best solution to tackling a problem, in the most sound way.

This is a good thread, but I think it could have been delivered a bit better, rather than implying people are stupid, or don't know as much as others. I do think that 99% of the guys on this forum would not have known the potential for things to go wrong with tailshafts, but they probably also don't know that running 30yr old flywheel bolts can result in have your legs amputated either. But hey hopefully a few people have learnt some vital info, while having a laugh at us ay glenn.
