    Default noisy 4 link

    Hey guys,
Just installed a adjustable 4 link into my ae86, it has nylon lined rose joint end, and its really noisy/knocky while i'm driving. Is this normal noise from these types of joints? Before anyone asks, yes all the bolts are tight. I can feel a fly shit of movement in the joints, i bought these arms a few years back in a group buy, but never installed them till just now.

I could be wrong but it sounds pretty normal to me, the person you bought them off should of told you about that.

ok sweet, i knew they would be noisy, just not like this. Is there any sort of grease or other lubricant i can use on the joints to reduce the harshness of the knock?

im pretty sure sams right, every car i've been in with anything rose jointed is always noisy, sounds like half your suspension is loose. i think thats why rose joints are a track based thing.

Great for side to side load (panhard/LCA's), but not so much for front to back (caster/trailing).

Yea it sounds like the arms are floating around. i'm just tuning my ears to ignore it, so far so good. I got a slightly buckled rim on the back which makes them vibrate like crazy at anything over 100kph.

If anyone is going to put adjustable 4 links, it should be that way and that way only.

OR bush/bush if they want it more street-ey. AJPS/Superpro ultra hard bushes in stock arms.

Fuck solid/solid 4-link bars for non-equal length trailing arms.
