hey guys im new to this thread. im after some help. im building a 7afe with a 16v bigport head (standard head). turbo on the side of course. im getting a spool import stroker kit of make it a 1901cc.

    1. would i need to rebuild the head with valves and turbo cams.
    2. what gasket do i use. is it a standard 7afe gasket.
    3. what belt should i ran.
4 there was no crank pulley on my 7a block. what crank do i run. can i use 4age one fit.

i called spool imports he ask me to find out
    1. compression chamber volume
    2. head gasket volume
so he can make pistons to suit.

    hopefully someone can help cheers.

How far down the path are you?

From my experience for turbo applications, bin the 16v head and put on a 20v blacktop head and retain vvti... Otherwise you need to port the 16v head quite extensively to get it to flow maybe as well as the 20v item. I wouldn't stroke it if adding a turbo to the side.

The most common way of stroking the 7a is to regrind the 7a crank rod journals to the same size as a 4a. Spool should provide you with rings , bearings , crank and pistons. So obviously use those ones. Get your block checked for wear first to work out what size the pistons need to be.

Then once you have the pistons send the block in for machine work.

What is your use for the car and what is your budget?

You need to use a 16V gasket. Head gasket volume is 6.19cc, chamber size is officially 39cc but likely to be closer to 38cc. There's other 7age guides with belts and things so search for that.

What compression ratio are you aiming at?
