Default AE71, Lowering, Tyre Fitment & Spring Recommendations!

Hey guys, i know theres gonna be a smartass that will link me google, so just save that for somewhere else. What im after is i just got a set of MA61's sitting on 205/60's and my ae71 is 100% factory, after fitting these wheels, would i be able to fit the 30mm lowering king springs or AJPS's 40mm lowering springs? and which one would you guys prefer if its about $250 for kings and $400ish for the AJPS? would i need to change the tyres on my ma's?

On an E7 you would get better fitment with 185/60 profile tyres. Never had that profile, so not sure if you would need any guard work after lowering

Always valued AJPS products when owning a Corolla, but thats just me personaly.

Personaly I'd suggest talking to Dave at AJPS about your suspension as he has always been happy to help out someone new to the game

are the 206/60s what was originally on the wheel? could look cool to leave them on and paint writing on the tyres white, be a hot rod kind of look Comes down to personal preference and budget, most people on here will recommend Dave as he supports the community, unlike King Springs. May need to lip your guards when running the 205 but i doubt it'd have problems with rubbing. Get photos of how they currently sit on the car.

I have some ma61s that came with 236/60s when I bought them. I think that's what they ran originally. They look weird as hell though.

I have another set of ma61s with 185/60s that I fitted after getting ajps springs and I had to roll the rear lips a little to stop them rubbing.

cheers for the kind words chris

and as chris said 205/60 COULD work but would need guards and shit taken into consideration

185/60 with a light roll will be mint

the springs I quoted you on include shipping and are slightly firmer than the king equivalent and are also linear rate compared to progressive....

    Cheers

    185 60 or 185 55 if going low.

    AJPS all the way,

I would recommend getting some second hand coilovers though and just run cut falcon springs in the rear if you are on a budget.
