Default Flywheel diameter question...noob to some?

Hi all, I have been searching for flywheel size info and can't seem to get this answer....
I know there are 200, 212, 225mm flywheels and believe this is referring to the clutch face diameter....?
Does the outer diameter of the flywheel itself change also....if so does this then change ring gear diameter and starter motor teeth sizing?
I believe I have a 225mm flywheel in my bp gze and would like to get a lightweight aftermarket one.....being a turbo build with potential bigger hp the larger diameter flywheel seems attractive but wondered if I went to what seems a more common 212mm size does my starter need to change, etc?
Also moving to a w58 with a niteparts bellhousing will a 225mm flywheel fit?
    Any help appreciated....
    Cheers
    Fil

This has been done to death, have a search or look in the wiki (if it exists any more).

Briefly: all 4A flywheels have the same ring gear and are interchangeable (taking account of 6 and 8 bolt versions). Measurement is across the clutch plate (or alternatively the shiny part of a used flywheel).

I have read the 225 can fit in the Niteparts bell but it needs to be relieved a bit on the inside.

Apparently (according the NPC) a Mitsu Evo flywheel/clutch setup can be adapted for 4A's and I would assume a W box.
