Default Smallport 4age: how to make a temporary engine check light

Hey guys trying to diagnose another conversion I'm doing with a smallport into an AE71.#
What can I use to make a CEL and how do I connect it to the loom?

Its a stock AE92 loom, as far as I'm aware the "W" pin should be put on the earth side of the light with 12v on the other? When you bridge out the diagnostic terminal it should flash?#
#I just want to confirm this before I cook something #

Wire from battery to globe, other side of globe connect to w pin on ecu. Then in the engine bay find the diagnostic box, put a paper clip in the 2 sockets

    Okies,

Bridge TE (or T, I assume) and E1. You will need to use a diagram such as this one below to work out where to "bridge" the terminals. All you need to do is earth out TE, I actually setup a switch to take the hassle out of it.
