So I'm dan and I own a 83 jdm Sprinter Trueno.
I'm starting a build thread because I'm soon to be undertaking a 20v conversion and I'm going to have to ask bulk questions.
I purchased the car a fair while ago now from Jamie Dell in Brisbane, and was owned and imported by someone in Sydney before hand. Some of you have probably seen it floating around Brisbane and Lismore.
The car was apparently initially built by Impulse garage in Japan, it came to me with the following modifications and what not:
Smallport block, bigport head 16v
HKS 256 cams
RSR extractors
HKS hi power cat back
TRD leads
K&N filter
Freedom ECU
GAB strut brace
Front GAB fully adjustable 8kg coilovers -- Rear GAB damper adjst shocks, 6kg springs, adjustable platforms
TRD sway bars
Rose jointed LCA's
NCRA's
Camber tops
Prothane bush's
Rose joint panhard rod
Welded rear strut brace
Rear body brace
Traction brackets
Body seam welded
Interior: Not much at all, Nardi wheel.
SSR Mesh all round.
Since then I've just been cleaning it up and enjoying driving it. I've rebuilt all the brakes, new pads and rotors, rebuilt the diff, restored the wheels, flared and painted the rear half of the car and started piecing together at least half an interior.
Anyway at the end of 2011 the 16v decided it would give up on life 3 days before I was being deployed to Afghan for half the year. So now I'm back and thought it's a good excuse to go down the 20 valve path, which like I said is the reason for the thread.
Cheers, Dan.
