Thats a pretty light trailer.... As a reference I paid $4k for a 600kg trailer brand new... Which is light and cheap. Gettng one lighter would cost more... Expect around $6k.
I want a car trailer that I can tow my T18 with my hiace which only has 1.4T max braked towing, so I need a 400kg max car trailer with max towing capacity required 1T anything up to about 2.5k but if its really good/really light I'll go to 3k.
Just let me know what you have.
Thanks, Jake.

Yeah I know for a dual axle would be hard to get one I can get a 2nd hand tilta trailer single axle which is 300kg for $2800 just the ball weight with single axle would be higher though. Was also thinking of building my own but not sure, wanted to build one with torsional axles but that is more $$$$

Wouldn't really wanna tow a 1ton car around with something that's only suited to 1.4t on a single axle! Give that van all the help it can get.
Well shouldn't be any more than 900kg should be less if I can will be as light as I can get it, was 870 bog stock with 50L of fuel. I was just thinking of building one with just the basics, lightest axles/suspension I can afford and just basic frame and rails set up to tow my car. I'm not sure why the van is only rated to 1.4T I would say because of the lack of weight in the rear end? It's a late model turbo diesel auto hiace.

What's its rear suspension? Live or irs?
Leaf sprung live axle. They're not a seperate body/chassis but that doesn't matter because someone else from work's van is only rated to 1.4T as well and it's the previous shape one with separate body and chassis.

Yeah probably more to do with the fact it's rather light compared to a hilux or cruiser. Prob not a good idea towing something that weighs more than the tow vehicle.
My celsior is rated at 1600kg even tho its irs. But it's a heavy bitch at around 1700kg.
The car still weighs nearly 2 ton standard. Would have been good if laws were just tow what car weighs, which I think it may have been if there is no rated tow capacity.
