about to tackle a 4age swap into a ke70 wagon, what type of efi tank setups are people running in their wagons here?
any way of avoiding a surge tank?.
did a search but couldn't find anything on wagon setups, feel free to chuck up a link if you know of one

cheers brett, so modify the wagon fuel tank as you would a standard E7, i was mainly asking about this topic because some people had told me this setup surges with less then 25L in the tank on wagons, can anyone else confirm this?

It would surge on any car with less the aprox a quarter tank of fuel. Only way to get around it would be to get a surge tank setup. Google this if u dont know what one is. The link I posted would be a fairly cost effective way to get you driving around at least

No surge on my ke70 sedan with an in tank pump mounted low in the tank... You've just got to ge the strainer sitting pretty much on the bottom of the tank.
How different are wagon shaped tanks from sedans?
im not sure if they are different, i've been googling it but cant find any info. im just going on words from other people in the toyota scene that they had heaps more surging issues with wagons then sedans

From experience, surge tank seemed the easiest way out
In one of my old panel vans I had the in tank lift -> Efi pump. Similar to what's in the link and still had surging issues with as much as 1/2 tank of fuel with some hard driving
fuel tank mounting is different from wagon to sedan but never directly compared them on shape etc.
wagon would probably be different because of no spare wheel inside of the car. You could get some fuel cell foam and put that in the tank to try and stop surge then go surge tank if that doesn't work.
