Hi Luke
Good to see your happy with the redlines. they do look good on your car.
Cheers Craig
The black (brown in your case lol) things are bump-stops
Most people just cut one "section" off, or two sections out if you are very low
Please don't remove them entirely though
Looking great though man, keep up the good work![]()

adys28 - A fair penny for a single income young family man, my friend but worth every single cent.
7OXIN - So if thats the case I'll remove them and then put them in the sprinter since thats how the trueno was and not cut anything.
44GTE - Thanks once again Craig. Pleasure doing business mate! *thumbsup* +rep points
Cheers
Luke
Where is the diff actually leaking from?
Looks like maybe the pinion seal(at the very front on the nose) and around the main series of bolts which hold the head into the housing?
Pinion seal isn't so fun to replace, You'll really need to take it to a diff shop to get that done, so they can set the preload, runout etc correctly. Otherwise you'll wear your gears out quickly and they'll probably whine. If its just the large seal around the head of the diff its pretty simple, you firstly need to remove the calipers, then the discs, then pull out the axles (sometimes a slide hammer is necessary to pull the axles out) then undo the bolts around the head and slide it off. (If the pinion seal is gone, you'll have to do this anyway, just so you don't have to take them the whole diff) You can either silicone it or get a proper gasket for it, I am so sick of having to remove silicone from joints, I'll probably never use it again unless I really have to. I personally would go with the proper gasket from toyota or places like repco may sell them.
If you're going to that effort of pulling the axles out, you might as well replace the axle seals whilst your at it. You'll be able to see them in the diff housing once you pull the axles out.
Remember that if your t-series has an LSD in it you'll have to use proper LSD diff oil.
car is starting to shape up nicelygood luck man

very nice. im currently fixing up the sprinter i bought from Dave2221. it started as his parts car and then i got it and have so far put a T50 into it, rebuilt the brakes all round, attached the alternator, changed the wheels, played with the interior and have started to fix the rust and started to wire the engine loom up. but i have little idea to how the loom go's in so im having a lil trouble. also ill buy the trueno front end from you ... im really keen on that so how much would you want for it?
Updates, we all love updates.
The JDM fuel tank is off to be cleaned and resealed and should be ready next week. Decided against using external fuel pump and surge tank combination so I'll be using a GT4 internal that I had sitting in the shed.
Took out the ADM tank in about two minutes. Just need to wait for the jap tank to be cleaned then that will be installed. Heres where i've left off.
The Shakotan Garage surge tank and the ADM tank will be for sale.
Heres a JDM fuel pump housing compared to the ADM one for anybody that cares.
Went to TC Powdercoaters in Essendon to get my rocker covers sandblasted and pc. Chose a wrinkle matte black with a silver 'pearl' so hopefully it will come up really nice.
Also got some Goodridge braided brake lines made up through Howard at Racebrakes Yarraville, very fancy piece of kit I might add.
Ordered a few goodies for the interior so will have to wait for delivery. Will post pics later...
Question: Where in the engine bay loom would the connectors be for the horn?
Cheers
Luke

hey luke, why don't you use the front end of the trueno ( panels, bonnet, bar and lights to make the red one a trueno fronted adm )? then paint rest of car panda!!
ill take the trueno front conversion![]()
