sort of.... its mainly when you remove the roof of a car not the floor pan, so long as it still has a,b,c pillars and the sills it will stay in shape as sr_andy said with the doors still closing etc.

U can remove a roof off of a vehicle and its not going to move out of square. Roofs are just panels that are sat on top and spot welded on. They have zero structural strength.
