Grab some bushes, a manual rack to power steer x member bush and you'll be loving life. Ajps or spirited drive can sort you out with the bushes.
Have had the same prob myself, pretty safe to bet it is a power steer xmember
Hey guys,
This may be a pretty silly question... It's about the PS steering and the manual steering rack and their differences.
I've bought an ae86 coupe shell and its being put back together and I thought I had everything sorted but I'm having some serious concerns with the steering rack fitting. I'm running a manual rack in the cross member and it appear to be able to float around within the bracket even with the bush in place. There is another issues as well... The factory bracket I had to pinch off another car as mine went walk abouts is not wide enough to reach both bolt holes in order to secure the rack in place.....
Is anyone able to help me out... Maybe I have a PS X-member...? I'm not really sure and its rather frustrating not knowing why this steering rack and bracket are not able to locate properly....
I would be most grateful for any insight =D
Cheers
