Convertible GT86 News!

For a while now there have been many sites with rumours that Toyota will produce a convertible 86 named the Cabrio.



It is rumoured that the Convertible will feature the Subaru FA-20 engine and will be on the market in late 2014, just 2 years after the initial release of the 86.

Chief Toyota Designer Tetsuya Tada has revealed that "the GT 86 was designed from the outset so that it can be built as a convertible".

I must admit I am waiting in anticipation for this to be officially announced by Toyota. That is one hot looking car!

there is a massive gap in the 2 seat roadster market with pretty much the 370z and mx5 being the cheapest options. while i would prefer a hard top i can see them selling alot of convertibles

I wonder if they where to sell convertibles would it be a hardtops (Nissan S15 varietta) or a softtop (Honda S2000)
