Ae71 4age conversion

Hey Guys

Doing a 4age conversion in my ae71 and have read a lot about changing the pedal box to ae71 pedal box because it's hydraulic , this may sound stupid but does a hydraulic clutch use a master cylinder ? If so does a ae71s clutch master cylinder sit in the engine bay ? Any help would be appreciated , thanks guys

Yes, clutch master cylinder bolts to the firewall in the engine bay. I assume you've got an auto AE71? You will need an AE71 manual pedal assembly or a modified unit (Jordo - KE conversions site sponsor on here can help, has a template for drilling the holes also).

Thanks heaps mate , it's manual but it has a mechanical clutch , what do you think the best option would be ?

To convert to Hydraulic you will either need a manual AE71 pedal assembly or contact Jordo for modifying yours.

you sure its an AE71? thought KE70's only came out with the cable clutch if thats what your refering to?

Ke70's have cable clutch, ae71 hydraulic... Next to your brake booster you will have another reservoir to fill up with fluid...so 2 caps to remove in the engine bay = hydraulic clutch.

Will you be doing this conversion yourself?

Thanks for all the info guys , there isn't another cap and there is a cable that goes from my firewall to my gearbox so I'm assuming it's cable

As for the conversion a mechanic will be doing it from home

is your motor current 4K? does it say ae71 on the chassis code? sounds like someone put in a 4k into your car if its a ae71 with a cable clutch
