    small update nothing major...

elect. speedo unit removed (not sure why it was there didn't even work haha)
new kouki cluster that i bought from j land awhile ago for no reason at all...
    before:

    after:

    much better

old faithful headunit from the ke70 (and every other car ive had)
    nothing exciting...

6'' speakers mounted in the parsel shelf also, im sure you don't need a pic of that... pretty good sound concidering the size...

    steering wheel/boss/spacer installed.

one of the trumpets fell off too... hahaha
so has now adopted stacks off the beams
drives much better now, has picked alot more low to mid range but not much top end like i really wanted, this could be mostly due to restrictive cams mabey?
    sounds much better too!

car's a million bucks to drive now. go's much better with the shorter stacks on
as soon as the other 86's is ready to go will be getting both tuned. hopefully this picks up a bunch more power!

get a late model cluster, so much nicer than the zenki one's.
probley hold onto it for originallity sake.

long stacks are aids, sure they've got the length but very poor design.
im dying to find the dyno sheets though, the recipts showed back to back dyno testing with the long stacks, so they obviously gave him the results he wanted.

ah its cool, bit hard posting shit like that just needs some 15kg parcel thrown ontop if em and it's game over.
cheers for doing that though! muchly appriciated, sets the car off i think.

and yeah thats what i thought too with the stacks but my ass dyno proved us all wrong
really keen for a tune though! but i think the main problem is just wrongly matched cams for the motor/mods.

what's wrong with how the engine drives?

just reading the mod's list make me think you need to get some bigger injectors and an adjustable fuel pressure reg. if theres any problem its propably underfueling.

get fuel setup done and retune. take it to a decent tuner too. with all the problems you have had it sounds like your tuner doesnt know shit about 4 cylinder twincams.

all the problems i've had has been 100% me, not the tuner.

the engine drives alright, theres not flat spots or hestation or anything like that. i just think there should be alot more poke especually up high if it's got the mods it says it has.
and apparently the previous tuner said theres alot more potentual with this motor but tuned for the street what ever that means??
i personally just think it's very small duration cams with big lift which just isn't working for it. like 264/9mm+ to keep lag down but attempt to get more power with the high lift.
im not quite sure at what point you have to upgrade the injectors though? i've alway been under the impression the standard ones are pretty right with NA until you hit the real big power figures?
never really looked into it before.

i'll get it on the dyno first, that should tell me exactally what to do there after.
