Not sure why you would bother with a Leaf motor onto the standard drivetrain... Seems like a lot of fuss to face mostly the same problems (guessing cost was the biggest driver, might have just had a leaf wreck donor car).
Plenty of Tesla drive unit kits that just swap in place of the diff then put batteries into the engine compartment to even out weight distribution and you land with like 600hp instead of the 200hp they managed here.
