    +1 on using a patrol, i have 3 mates with em and they do grouse

    as much as i hate to say it but a vr/vs SS commonwhores are cheap enough these days they would be a great option for towing

    haha nah that truck is owned by my uncles company, and the hot rod he built from scratch in his shed over the past 11 years.

    its going to be at Meguiars Motor Ex in 3 weeks.... hopefully will do well

    i tow 3 ton with mine the other day
    no stoppin them
    auto box very strong
    radiators too small

    i use and old superoo sportswagon 4wd it loves towing but its not to quick getting up hills or taking off but still does the job

    im buying a surf in the very near future. then and 4runners or any proper 4wd hilux you cannot go wrong with.

    if youre traveling long distances (like interstate to the national) you can throw the back seats down, wack a matress in the back and sleep in them too. cheap accomodation and that way youre not too far away from the car youre towing. good way to keep an eye on it at night.

    Just put in my order for a new 09 Mazda6 Wagon. 6spd manual. 2.2 litre in-line 4, 16 valve DOHC intercooled turbo diesel. 136 kW @ 3,500 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,800-3,000 rpm! Tow pack is rated to 1600kg .

    Should be just nice for an 86 + trailer. I hope!
