4agte stalling

hey guys, i bought a sprinter reck with a 4agte in it i just got it running but iv ran into a problem with it, you go to put the clutch in when its in nutrual it wants to stall, has enyone had the same problem or knows whats going on?

fuel issue?, try crimp the return line to lift the rail pressure and see if you get a change.

So it idles fine in neutral? But then stalls if you step on the clutch?

If so then it sounds like the clutch throwout bearing is siezed. Easy to replace but you have to drop the box.

Yeah I just read it again and Hen sounds on the money, I was thinking load issue...

If you're driving, going up to a red light and put the clutch in and stalls, chances are you've got a vacuum leak.

I had an issue with a clutch, where it would stall with your clutch pedal to the floor and the car in gear.

Turned out that the fingers on the pressure plate were almost warn through, although the release bearing was fine. But so basically it wasn't totally disengaging the clutch.

^^Also had this, I think it ended up being to do with master not adjusted enough and the clutch plate was slightly touching(Plate and everything was fucked when I pulled it out). Didn't like to start when warm. Never tried to start in Neutral though. Has since stopped with new clutch and master adjust. Not much of a help but yeah.
